Welcome to the Website of the Brecksville Historical Association!


Mission Statement

  • To perpetuate the memory of the pioneers of Brecksville and the early settlers of the surrounding areas
  • To collect, preserve and attractively display historical and genealogical documents and relics commemorative of these regions
  • To buy, sell, lease, rent or otherwise deal in real estate as may be necessary to provide and maintain  insofar as financially possible a suitable Museum and Library in which to house, catalog, and display such collections
  • To disseminate information and historical data to the residents of Brecksville and the surrounding areas that the present may be viewed with rich heritage of the past
  • To foster a spirit of neighborliness and to stimulate an abiding appreciation of the fundamentals of American Democracy
  • To do any and all things necessary and incidental to carry out the above purposes
